Always a fan of kombucha and raw dessert it was killer to get to go to the Ballsy Wild Kombucha Bar where the Kombucha schooners flow, paired with desserts dreamed up by maestro Emica of Loco Love. It is a match made in heaven.
Ten courses of pure bliss and conscious food - desserts harnessing the magic of cacao and the wonder of kombucha. These manifested themselves into kombucha sorbets, Raw Key Lime Cheesecakes, lavender and rose infused kombucha, Ice Cream sandwiches rolled in coconut, warm spiced apple kombucha (a perfect nightcap) and the always loved Loco Love truffles. As well as a sneaky acoustic set by Hayley of The Jezabels.

Creating and holding a space for like minded people is always so special. It is so cool in such a big world to congregate with a community and share music, drinks and beautiful food. I'm a firm believer in the magic of food - it can not only be nourishing for the mind and body but can also serve as a tool for uniting and creating joy. My mum (and my steiner education) always placed special emphasis on honouring the food that is provided for us, being grateful for what the earth has offered for our bodies and Emica and the team at Wild Kombucha offered a lot to be grateful for.

The extra mood lighting sort of prevented any pictures of the desserts, making the night even more elusive. So you're gonna have to go the next one to get a glimpse of the goods.

You must must must keep an eye out on all the other magic this bar offers, it is the only Kombucha bar in the Southern Hemisphere - their drinks are available on tap at four locations Sydney Wide, both Orchard St Elixir Bars (Paddington and North Bondi) as well as Ruby's Diner in Waverly and Greenhouse Coffee in Darlinghurst. Grab a bottle to keep for life and keep refilling at each station, to your hearts content. The family fave of Ginger kombucha is always a winner but their Nettle flavour and Cayenne are equally phenomenal and good for the gut...because we do this for the gut.
